TRANSITIONS
The
Transitions program is a dynamic, fully customizable keynote experience designed to support high school seniors and parents, new student orientation and programming for college freshman focused on success. Participants are invited into a conversation—not a lecture—centered around personal choices, self-care, academic success, and staying focused on their goals.

About the program.

  • Relatable.

Transitions helps students navigate the ups and downs of life after high school, like making good choices, understanding brain development, handling stress, taking advantage of resources to support them, maintaining healthy relationships, and keeping sight of what matters most: their growth and goals.

  • Research based.

Backed by research from Gallup, Harvard, Yale, and the Pew Research Center, this session offers honest insights and practical strategies to help you succeed academically, socially, and personally.

  • Future focused.

This isn’t just another welcome talk — it’s a conversation about who you are now, who you want to become, and how to make the most of this powerful transition. The program is completely customizable to the audience and messaging the group needs.

  • "Dr. Lori Hart’s presentation on Transitions was both powerful and timely. She delivered a message that truly resonated with our graduates, equipping them with practical tools and inspiration for the next chapter of their lives. Her message spoke directly to the students transitioning to high school while resonating deeply with parents and grandparents. It was inspiring, relevant, and truly unforgettable."

  • "What we love about working with Lori is that she has the ability to capture the attention of teenagers and parents alike. Parents find her expertise timely and actionable - she has lived the college experience in so many ways: as a mother, employee, risk manager, and student herself. You walk away from a conversation with her confident and informed! Lori's storytelling is what really makes her messages stick. Every year, our seniors remark that her talk about the transition to college was one of the first times an adult was 'real' with them about what to expect and what to do. We owe it to our kids to have that conversation, and we are so grateful to have Lori leading the way."

  • "Lori wraps important messages in humor and heart. She speaks with conviction and care making her message accessible and engaging. If you can capture a room full of 120 seniors' attention during the last week of high school, you know you have the right person delivering the right message. Grounded in research and experience, Lori can relay the reality of transitioning the first child off to school with compassion and care. I have seen her lift parents up as she reminds them they have set their child up for success. I have seen her bring tears when parents recognize their fears in the message shared. And, I have seen her share specific and helpful tips to make this period of life special for all. All in a very "we got this" way. Through laughter and lessons from the heart, Lori is able to walk students and parents through what is to come by managing expectations, equipping them with skills and tactics and by building up the "capable" in us all."

  • "Dr. Hart has been such an amazing fit for our college transitions program. When speaking to our seniors and their parents about their upcoming transition from high school to college, Dr. Hart shares her expertise on how they can make their college years fulfilling and fun, but also safe and healthy. Dr. Hart offers separate presentations for our senior class and their parents tailored to their specific needs, but with Dr. Hart, you will always hear a dynamic and personable presentation that weaves together the most up-to-date research on health and wellbeing in college (and beyond!) with her trademark humor, storytelling, warmth, and care. If you have been around high school seniors for any length of time, you know that they are “barely in the building” when spring rolls around, and I have never seen them pay attention and focus on another speaker the way they do with Dr. Hart. She has an important message to share to support young people and their parents as they embark upon college, and her presentation style will ensure that your seniors are listening. Dr. Hart and her team have been incredibly professional and easy to work with, and we are so grateful to have Dr. Hart speak to our school community!"
